Today I’d like to invite you to the Land of the Great Masirian Lakes 🙂 I love traveling, but they do’t have to all be far. Our Polish countryside, is still as beautiful as exotic countries. Interestingly, Masuria district (which is the region forming part of the Poland ‚green lungs’), has been listed in New7Wonders among the 14 most beautiful places in the world and 5 in Europe. ‚New7Wonders’ is a foundation established by the traveler Bernard Weber, whose aim is to promote world cultural heritage sites and exposure places that are unchanged by human activity. Masuria district is famous not only because of the lakes, but also home to countless rare birds such as cormorant, mute swan and many others. Black stork, golden eagle and white-tailed eagle also lives there. Interestingly, left ashore, with a little luck you can meet beavers, otters, moose and even mud turtles.
I invite you on a short cruise on masurian lake district. I hope that if you haven’t been there yet, you will desire to set off. And for those who like me, have already had time to be captivated by this beautiful region, I’ll remind you why you should go back to the lakes 😉
